Person Story Submission

Do you have a story to tell about an ancestor or other deceased person of great interest to you?

STEP 1: Complete the Application Form below.
STEP 2: Complete your Story in Word following the template provided.

a. 3,000-5,000 words for a full story (see Person Full Story Template); 1,500-3,000 words for a focused story (see Person Focused Story Template)
b. Include related images and maps in the Word document
c. Attach your Story with your Application Form and Submit

STEP 3: Star Hitchers™ will let you know if your story has been selected to post.
STEP 4: If selected, we will produce an edited version that you approve.
STEP 5: Star Hitchers™ will post your approved story and record it as an audio file.

Full story: A full story covers the lifespan of the subject, following the template provided.

Focused story: A focused story covers a profile of the subject, a segment of the subject’s life, a theme that ran through the subject’s life, or an event in the subject’s life, following the template provided.
