Do you have a story to tell?

A story about a person’s life (maybe an ancestor)?
A story about a place where your family lived?
A story about the place where you live?

Star Hitchers will help you tell your story.
Here’s how it works…

1. Decide if you are developing a story about a person or a place.

2. A story must be:

a. structured within the template provided
b. submitted in editable .doc format
c. between 3,000 and 5,000 words for a full story, 1,500 and 3,000 words for a focused story
d. with pictures embedded in the document and labeled.

3. Select the appropriate option below (Person or Place) to:

a. Complete the application form.
b. Upload your story that is structured within the story template. 


We will let you know if your story has been selected to post on our website. If selected, Star Hitchers™ will produce an edited version that you approve. We will then post your story for everyone to enjoy.

Intellectual Property Rights

All elements of the content and services that are created by Star Hitchers or under our direction, or where the copyright has been assigned or licensed to us, are subject to copyright protections and conventions. This includes trademarks that are owned by us. All uses of our trademarks and any goodwill resulting therefrom will inure to our benefit.

Use of Content

Star Hitchers content includes content created by Star Hitchers as well as content (text, photographs, etc.) submitted by users for publication on the Star Hitchers website and via Star Hitchers podcasts and audio recordings. Star Hitchers, LLC, reserves the copyrights to its original content as well as content originated by users and published by Star Hitchers. Star Hitchers will include this content, in whole or in part, in publications beyond the scope of the website, will cite the original source, and will retain the copyright for the new publications.

Star Hitchers, LLC, encourages users who create and submit content to Star Hitchers to also use the content beyond the scope of Star Hitchers’ website, podcasts, and publications. Star Hitchers retains the copyright on these materials once Star Hitchers has accepted them for publication, but grants use of the materials by the original content creators for their purposes with the expectation that Star Hitchers and its copyright will be acknowledged.

Star Hitchers, LLC’s  liability is limited to the fullest extent allowed by law. We will not be liable for any unintentional damage, any actual, incidental, or consequential damage, or for any loss or claim of any kind.

If you are dissatisfied with any portion of the services or products or with any statement in these Terms, your sole remedy is to stop using the services and products.

Veracity of Content

The purpose of Star Hitchers is to help users conduct research on individual people and places (locations) and develop narratives from this information in order to publish the stories on the Star Hitchers website. These narratives are considered to be “stories” and Star Hitchers bears no responsibility for their veracity.
